TB can also backup and restore your sms/mms messages.

RE: CWM-Recovery-v6.0.3.2 (Install via Stock Recovery)
Ok recovery has been fixed and op was updated news and a zip.

Good news is once you flash the new recovery and restore any backup you'll get your 2GB internel storage back. So even if you haven't made a backup recently and your stuck with only 250MB internel then just flash the new recovery make a backup and then just restore it afterward and your internel storage will be back up to 2GB Androidwink

And yes this should allow you to install the backups that were erroring on restoring data before Androidwink

RE: CWM-Recovery-v6.0.3.2 (Install via Stock Recovery)
I used TB for SMS Backup but I was looking for something that would merge backups, the only thing I found that would do that is Nandroid Manager but it can't seem to find the data in the CWM backup. I will continue to look for another solution that can merge data from sms backups.

I think what I will have to do is
1) make a current CWM backup,
2) restore a CWM backup that I want to get messages from,
3) create an xml that stores the current SMS data (in the older backup)
4) then restore the latest backup,
5) make an SMS backup then merge the 2 and restore all...

Haha I think I almost lost myself on that one.

HUGE thanks to Stedman, now I can actually restore the original backups I made. It's all possible now!

**EDIT**

I was able to restore sms data from a CWM Backup using Nandroid Manager from the market available HERE . The free version did it. Its very simple, you select the backup you want to use, then swipe right and you will see restore SMS data. You then have the option to merge with current data. I did it with 3 different backups and all my text messages were there, it was awesome.

Anyway, that's how I was able to make it through restoring my text messages without restoring and writing over everything else.

This is the first time posting how I fixed something so if I am supposed to give thanks somebody please let me know.

BTW, I figured this out on my own.

It was dumb dumb user error... The app did what it was supposed to but I didn't have busybox installed. After installation it sped through it.

@Dopy25, I think it's fantastic that you figured it out. It's always appreciated when you thank someone whose suggestion helped, but it sounds like you used your noodle on this one for the most part if not entirely, and you coming back to let us know about the solution is honestly more than a lot of people do, and we appreciate that just as much.

UPP is all about us helping each other. Not only is UPP an acronym for the site name, but it's also what we work hard to do, raise your knowledge level and bring you UPP from the jam you're stuck in to lift you to a working status. We thought about every single aspect of this site before we started it, including that acronym! This is our pledge to our members, to never be a place that puts you DOWN, but instead builds you UPP!
