Huawei h866c stock recovery
Just wanted to let everyone no there will be no stock recovery made for this phone. Uper management BLAST GT1 here at Upp just told me no donations no help he also said Playful God [must be god] already tried and failed. So if we dont donate to someone no one on this site will help out and give a little info.

THIS IS WHAT BLAST GT1 WROTE after i messaged a couple developers on this site to give me [not work on ] some info on how to create a stock recovery with 0 replys
What is less mentioned, but just as true, is the fact that we also won't put up with slander against developers who actually give a rat's ass about the people who use their creations. You make it sound as if the people who have developer ranks on this site have nothing better to do than to take any request as it comes. Have you donated a phone for them to work on, or contributed to a donation fund? Do you expect someone to buy a phone with their own money, knowing that in all likelihood they will not get anywhere near the cost of the purchase, assuming anyone donates at all? Would you expect someone to buy and change out an engine in their car just to make sure it works before YOU use it?

RE: Huawei h866c stock recovery
You're digging yourself a real deep hole here, really fast. Did you forget to mention that you slagged off the people who might be able to help you, calling them "high and mighty developers" and that they don't care about anybody but themselves? I never said "no donations no help", don't try to incorrectly paraphrase what I said.

Do yourself and everyone else a favor. Don't post only part of what was said, and don't be foolish enough to do it when my entire post is sitting in an adjacent thread. You're not fooling anybody but yourself. You know exactly what I said, but it's the fact that I called you out publicly, after you called out others publicly, that's got your pants on fire and you up and hollering. Did you really think you could skate by with an asshole comment like that? Seriously? And now you want to call me out, misrepresent what I said, and start a firestorm? I can't tell you how bad of an idea that is, and that it won't end well for you if you want to continue.

I'm sorry that you feel the way you do, but the fact is, your perspective of UPP is far from the way things really are, and plenty of members would gladly tell you so if you asked. You have the option to stay or go. Nobody's forcing you to be here if you think UPP is just like all the other forums out there. Honestly, I'm perfectly content letting you make yourself look bad by doing what you're doing, but for the sake of other members who really don't want to buy the bullshit you're peddling, I'll only allow so much. I put my members ahead of myself, and I consider the impact on the whole of the membership far more than I do on an individual, and for good reason.

Now, you have a choice. You can continue misrepresenting facts, making things up, and slandering people who put in far more time and effort than you'll ever understand on their work, and insult the intelligence of the members on this site by pretending that there's some big conspiracy, or you can stop thinking selfishly, try looking at the situation objectively, and save yourself some embarrassment as well as the possibility of an unceremonious exit from UPP. I would advise you to do some thinking before you respond this time.

RE: Huawei h866c stock recovery
You no what when i first came to this site i though wow this is a pritty cool site and i still choose it more than any other phone site. This site is the scheisse. I posted a thread and right away got replys and help. I came here 4 help just like every other person. Do i want problems with u or anyone else on this site. No i dont. I never called u our anyone else out or did i change one word in the phrase above. Did i ever tell u to do a big write up on morals and UPP. NO. Like i said before I asked 4 help multiple times and didnt expect answers over night or by the end of the week. But as the week went by and no response i figure oh did i do something wrong to offend this person. No i did not i was simply asking a question. Then i go to the next guy and ask question still no reply. Like what is the deal no one can even say sorry can not help you. Instead they ignore you. It just seems to me as people just want a donation or buy them the phone and i understand the fact they need the phone to understand what needs to be done but im not stupid and i no if someone was to point me in the right direction i could it myself and thats all im looking 4. So if u want to kick me from the site go ahead because im not learning nothin as to what ur site is based on. Do i wanna stay ya i do. If it was my choice u would go about ur buisness and i would go about mine and u would leave me alone i didnt go looking 4 you you came looking 4 me.
I post something that had nothin to do with u and u right a big long article like making me sound like im asking 4 free work. I think the fact that this phone has no dev says it all. So it is what it is u dont like me i dont like u. U wanna kick me kick me if not leave me be and stop monitoring every little word i type and leave me be and i will definitely as before not follow or chase u down

RE: Huawei h866c stock recovery
A few things first, the phone is a lower end model phone with a locked bootloader, therefore some Devs will not even bother messing with it, And the ones that do, get no where because they do not own the phone so it is hard to work on and crack something you can't hold in your hand, and when they do try and put something up asking for testers, they have to wait days sometimes for feedback before they know if something is working correctly.

As for Our Devs here in UPP, the Devs here work very hard at what they do, they have jobs, wives, kids and lives in general, they do this on their free time because they enjoy it, as a wife of a DEV I can most certainly vouch that they do NOT get paid for this work. So yelling snap snap and chop chop is only going to make them drag their feet more.

The Devs here are good Devs and bust their asses trying to make good things for others to enjoy on their phones. Just because they don't want to work on your phone, or have tried to and can't get anywhere is not a reason to try to knock them down. As for PlayfulGod, he might have not gotten anywhere with the phone, but that does NOT mean he has given up, he will work on something else for a bit and then come back to the ones giving him trouble....I can't tell you how many nights I have had to drag my Husband away from His PC for some family time because he gets so involved in working on these phones he sometimes forgets to breath and enjoy life.
Soooo that being said...If you don't like the way the work is going on your phone, maybe you should put your big boy pants on and try it out for size yourself...you will find out REAL fast it is not easy. If it was everyone would be doing it and we wouldnt have a need for Our Devs.

RE: Huawei h866c stock recovery
If you search this site about this device, you will find I have already tried building a recovery for it, and with it having a locked bootloader and no know way to restore it back after testing, I stopped before anyone elses device got bricked.

So until a bootstrap/2ndinit recovery is done or the devices bootloader is unlocked, or a way for testers to get restore, I wont be working on it.

Now far as being being [god], no I am just someone who enjoys working on this shyt, most of which I dont use the devices, most of which a DEv really needs the device to do anything major with it. AND we dont know if my recovery attempt failed or not since THE BOOTLOADER IS LOCAKED!!!

So, if you wont devs or anyone else to maybe pick up working on the device, it would pay not to bad mouth the ppl who have took their time to work on thus far.

Alright thanks 4 responding. Just so u no im not asking 4 you or anyone else to do free work. I understand the bootloader is locked. I respect 100% what u guys do and i no its far from easy and it takes years of searching and learning to get your knowledge. Thats what made me come to this site looking 4 some help.Ya im sorry 4 running my mouth and if u guys dont wanna help i understand i created what i dug. But all i wanted to ask was how would 1 go about creatin a UPDATE.APP. I no its possible because i seen other model phones that people dev. Now if someone was to create a stock firmware update there would be no reason to have to go thru the bootloader to get a stock recovery. I have tried creatin my own and got the firmware update to download half way then it fails so i no im missing something but dont no what.

the UPDATE.APP is something that Huawei provides, granted some may have edited/modded them before. I've just extracted the UPDATE.APP down to boot.img and system, and maybe cust. I know nothing of one being created from scratch esp since its proprietary Huawei crap.

Another thing, if one was create an update.app, it is signed with a proprietary key of metro pcs. Therefor, one would not be able to use it as signature verification would fail.
